Exercise has many benefits for individuals with permanent disability that impacts upon their ability to take part in day to day life.
At Health Moves we strive to assist as many clients as we can to stay active, improve mobility and ultimately stay independent. We provide supports through
Improved daily living or improved health and well-being funding. We are registered providers meaning we meet the stringent guidelines set by the NDIS commission and we are able to provide support to individuals who are self-managed, plan managed or NDIA managed. We also have a variety of practitioners that can help you such as: exercise physiologists, a personal trainer and an allied health assistant; we all work together to ensure individuals achieve the best outcomes.

We tailor programs to individuals with conditions such as:

  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Stroke
  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Chronic pain
  • Movement disorders

We offer all NDIS participants a free introductory session where we can determine if we would be the right fit for you. From there you will attend an assessment consultation to determine:

  • Your goals
  • How you move
  • Your posture and balance
  • Fitness and strength
  • Respiratory and cardiovascular fitness
  • Diet and lifestyle
  • Current medications
  • Any limiting factors such as physical disabilities, injuries or pain

After your initial consultation we will develop a plan to meet your goals. This maybe:

  • Intensive Exercise
  • Physiology
  • Clinic based exercise physiology
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Home exercise program
  • Personal Training
  • A combination of working with our exercise physiologist and allied health assistant.
  • Group based exercise: all group classes we offer at Health Moves are inclusive and cater for all abilities.
